About the role 

The role as Market Manager (Interim) is a full-time maternity cover position from May 2026 to December 2026. 

The position will oversee the German market and will work closely with the Mid-EU regional leadership team and HQ functions in Copenhagen. 

 The Market Manager at JOE & THE JUICE plays a crucial role in driving the brand’s success within a designated market, ensuring that all stores operate at the highest operational standards. This position is central to supporting the company’s ambition of becoming a global, people-centric food and beverage brand. 

 By upholding the company’s virtues of Positive Attitude, Inclusion, Social Ties, and Growth, the Market Manager will foster a culture that emphasizes operational excellence, strong employee engagement, outstanding guest experiences, and solid financial performance across the markets. 

 We see the role as highly hands-on, close to operations, teams, and guests. 

 

Key responsibilities  
 The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the operational leadership team supporting the German market together with store leadership teams across all locations. 
  • Ensure that all stores operate smoothly while maintaining high standards in customer service, product quality, and store cleanliness. 
  • Drive sales growth and profitability across the market by implementing strong operational and commercial strategies. 
  • Uphold and promote the JOE & THE JUICE brand identity and virtues, ensuring a consistent and engaging guest experience across all stores. 
  • Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by ensuring exceptional service standards and strong product execution. 
  • Analyse market performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions when necessary. 
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and People & Culture to ensure alignment with market objectives. 
  • Address operational challenges quickly and effectively to minimize disruption to business operations. 
  • Provide regular updates and performance insights to regional leadership on market performance, opportunities, and challenges. 

 

Key Qualifications 

  • Minimum 3 years of operational leadership experience in JOE & THE JUICE 
  • Strong experience managing multiple locations with a proven track record of driving operational performance. 
  • Solid understanding of cost control, labour management, and operational efficiency. 
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret and act on P&L performance and operational KPIs. 
  • Demonstrated experience building high-performing teams and developing leaders. 
  • Strong ability to manage operational complexity and respond effectively to changing business conditions. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience working in fast-paced operational environments with a strong focus on guest experience and brand execution. 
  • Fluency in English required; German is considered an advantage.
