Position title: Head Trainer

Reports to: Operational Excellence Manager

 

The Head Trainer (Head TQ) at Joe & The Juice, is responsible for all in-store training, up to & including the Store Manager level, along with all training initiatives. Through effective sparring with District Managers, you should support in achieving the highest performance possible in all areas within the operation, adhering to market-specific legal requirements, company policies, cleaning, and compliance structures.

At a Juicer Level, you should supervise all training, acting as a support function for both new & low-seniority stores, ensuring management competence in ‘Becoming a Trainer’. Through leading training of the ‘Moneyball 2.0 Leadership Program’, you are expected to support District Managers in developing Store Management confidence in all aspects of Circle of Operational Excellence, covering Operational Requirements, Employee Engagement, Guest Satisfaction, and Store Performance.

The Head Trainer will play a pivotal role in implementing new training initiatives & product launches to ensure our workforce is equipped with the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles. Your overall success in this position depends on the degree to which you can maintain a full overview of training, with an emphasis on providing an in-store presence as a torchbearer for our culture/virtues, delivering best-in-class Guest Experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Training Oversight: Ensure consistent delivery and quality of entry-level training across all Moneyball positions. Lead Trainer & Store. Trainers in training routines to maintain high standards, both for existing & new/refurbished stores.
  • Management Development: Supporting all Store Management training, through leading ‘Moneyball 2.0 Leadership Program’, for both pipeline & external management, to develop confidence & capability in all aspects of these roles.
  • New Training Initiatives: Lead training for new products, workflow changes, Guest Experience, waste, commercial, & compliance rollouts. Ensuring follow up post-implementation through conducting operational audits.
  • Turnaround Focus: Contribute to achieving upwards performance via all training aspects for bottom-20 & also Op. Excellence Stores.
  • Value-Based Leadership: Assist in aligning Juicers with company virtues and operational principles through on shift coaching. Supporting in the development and motivation of teams through feedback and in-store training, guaranteeing focus on maintaining and improving employee engagement level.
  • Guest Experience: Ensuring a guest-first approach throughout your local community, leading as a role-model in accordance with our brand behaviour principles, to hereby increase overall guest loyalty.
  • Operational Requirements: Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by enforcing hygiene, cleaning, health, and safety standards while ensuring brand and local standards are maintained as per guidelines.
  • Performance Management: Track training completion and validation performance, to provide feedback and reporting on training completion, validation pass rates, along with other training/audit metrics as and when necessary.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Operational Requirements: Training completion (all levels - inc. Attensi & External Courses), and Audit completion.
  • Store Performance: Store Performance in turnaround projects & in Centre of Operational Excellence Stores.
  • Employee Engagement: Assist in securing an employee engagement score is minimum at the True Benchmark level.
  • Guest Experience: Returning guests, app conversions, complaints, waiting time, product availability, store audits.
