Global Talent Management Lead
WHY WORK AT JOE & THE JUICE
JOE & THE JUICE is a people-centric food and beverage company built around culture, offering much more than just juice, sandwiches, and coffee.
We believe in four simple virtues that shape everything we do:
- Positive Attitude
- Inclusion
- Social Ties
- Growth
For us, this means that when you choose a cup-half-full mindset, welcome people from every background, build real friendships across the bar by creating great guest experiences, and use every shift as a chance to learn something new, you become more than just a Juicer; like us, you continue to search and find purpose and meaning in what you do.
From your first day, you'll be part of an international network of Juicers who support each other, celebrate wins together, and push each other to grow. You will learn by doing and move through our Moneyball career path, our internal system that tracks your performance and fast-tracks you toward promotion. Most of our leaders have earned their stripes behind the bar (fun fact: over 75% of our employees started as Juicers!), so you will always be part of a company built on that same journey. If you love a fast-paced environment, music, and people, and you like the idea of turning a job into a lifestyle, JOE can become a place to build skills, friendships, and a career that takes you across cities, countries, and roles.
JOB SUMMARY
The Global Talent Management Lead is responsible for setting the standard for how JOE identifies, develops and moves talent, ensuring that internal mobility and leadership readiness are predictable, data-driven and scalable across the organization. The role owns the talent review and development planning approach for operational and office-based roles, the talent management system and pipeline reporting, and partners with Culture, Performance & Reward, Operations, People Business Partners and regional T&LD to shape decisions on where and how talent is built. As part of the Talent & Leadership Development team within People & Development, this position is critical to the ambition of filling 90% of leadership roles from within, supporting JOE's purpose and growth ambitions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set the company-wide standard for talent development, owning a regular and objective talent review process for operational and office-based roles, anchored in individual development plans.
- Shape and own the roll-out of the talent development model, starting with operational roles from Juicer to Store Manager and scaling quickly to office-based roles, with SOPs that work consistently across all regions.
- Own the strategy, selection and implementation of the talent management system, ensuring it connects with shared learning platforms and provides one source of truth for talent data.
- Own pipeline reporting and insight - internal fill rate, successor coverage, development plan completion and employee development experience - informing strategic people and growth decisions at leadership level.
- Ensure pipeline gaps are identified early and closed across all regions, steering gap-closing actions with People Business Partners and regional T&LD.
- Own visible career pathways and promotion criteria across the organization, so employees can see their next step from day one.
- Partner with Culture, Performance & Reward and Operations to set aligned leadership standards, competency framework and people cycle, acting as the organization's thought leader on talent development.
- Contribute to pipeline-fill initiatives, such as structured mentoring, that turn talent review outcomes into concrete development actions.
WHO YOU ARE
- Passionate about developing talent. A standard-setter who builds career pathways and talent development processes that work the same way in every region and every role
- Data-led: you turn pipeline numbers into insight that leaders act on
- Operationally credible: you understand how careers are built from the bar to the office
- A partner who influences across Culture, Performance & Reward, Operations, People Business Partners and regional T&LD without needing authority
- A thought leader who works with high autonomy and shapes how we build leaders
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 7+ years in talent management, talent development or people development roles, ideally in global multi-site quick service restaurant, retail or similar front line heavy industry
- Proven track record owning talent review-, succession planning- and individual development plan processes
- Experience selecting and implementing a talent management system, incl. integration with learning platforms
- Strong analytical skills: pipeline reporting, internal fill rate and successor coverage
- Experience designing competency frameworks, career pathways and promotion criteria
- Experience rolling out global processes and SOPs across regions and markets
- Fluent in English - other languages are a bonus
