Head of People Technology

Copenhagen

WHY WORK AT JOE & THE JUICE

JOE & THE JUICE is a people-centric food and beverage company built around culture, not just juice, sandwiches, coffee, and much more. When joining us, you step into a high-energy community where the music is loud, the bar is your stage, and your personality matters as much as your skills.

We believe in four simple virtues that shape everything we do:

  • Positive Attitude
  • Inclusion
  • Social Ties
  • Growth

For us, this means that when you choose a cup-half-full mindset, welcome people from every background, build real friendships across the bar by creating great guest experiences, and use every shift as a chance to learn something new — you become more than just a Juicer; like us, you continue to search and find purpose and meaning in what you do.

From your first day, you’ll be part of an international network of Juicers who support each other, celebrate wins together, and push each other to grow. You will learn by doing, move through a clear Moneyball career path, and be part of a company where most leaders have earned their stripes behind the bar (fun fact: over 75% of our employees started as Juicers!).

If you love fast-paced service, music, people, and the idea of turning a job into a lifestyle, JOE can become a place to build skills, friendships, and a career that can take you across cities, countries, and roles.

YOUR MISSION

JOE & THE JUICE is building a dedicated People Technology capability. Are you the one leading it?

As Head of People Technology, you will take full ownership of our entire People tech stack, from Core HR to Talent Acquisition, Performance, Engagement and Compensation systems. You will be the single point of accountability for making sure our systems are connected, governed and adopted across a global, fast-moving organisation. The role combines strategic ownership of the systems roadmap with hands-on delivery, ensuring a single, trusted source of truth for people data across the business.

You will lead efforts in automating core HR processes and actively leveraging AI for scale, optimising the way we work and translating business needs into digital solutions. As part of a wider investment in the people tech area, one of your first and most impactful projects will be leading our HRIS selection and implementation.

As the foundation of a brand-new capability, there's real scope to shape how we work, mature the stack and grow a team over time, starting with a Project Manager to help you succeed with selecting and integrating a new HRIS. This is exactly the kind of build-from-the-ground-up opportunity that fits how we do things at JOE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and develop the People tech stack

  • End-to-end ownership of all people technology systems, operating and continuously developing the landscape including integrations across the wider tech ecosystem.
  • Establish and safeguard a single source of truth, delivering clean, reliable people data for reporting and analytics (e.g. Snowflake / BI).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR) and internal governance standards.
  • Balance global consistency with local market requirements across a multi-country system landscape.

Drive automation, AI and process improvement

  • Translate business needs into digital solutions and drive automation of People processes, enhancing the employee experience.
  • Implement and scale AI-enabled tools to optimise People processes and ways of working.

Lead vendor management and system selection

  • Lead vendor management across the HR tech stack, selecting, implementing and managing system providers and partners.
  • Drive structured processes for system selection, including requirements gathering, RFP, vendor evaluation and final recommendation.

Drive change and partner across the organisation

  • Lead change management and system adoption, ensuring the organisation is prepared, trained and using systems consistently and correctly.
  • Partner with IT, Data & Analytics and People teams to align systems, data and reporting needs.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Minimum five years of experience owning and managing an HR tech stack at scale, ideally in a multi-country, fast-moving environment. Retail or hospitality experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with HR system configuration, integrations and data management, including implementations, migrations or system roll-outs.
  • Proven experience with vendor selection and management, knowing how to run a structured process from RFP to go-live.
  • Experience leading change management and driving system adoption across a dispersed organisation.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data quality and compliance (e.g. GDPR).
  • Solid experience with automation and AI tools applied to HR processes, with the ability to translate this into practical ways of working for the team.
  • A natural ability to turn complex systems and messy data into clarity and structure.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions and seniority levels.
  • Fluent in English, with other languages a welcome bonus!
