Global Operations Junior Associate

Copenhagen

WHY WORK AT JOE & THE JUICE

JOE & THE JUICE is a people centric food and beverage company built around culture, not just juice, sandwiches, coffee, and much more. When joining us, you step into a high energy community where the music is loud, the bar is your stage, and your personality matters as much as your skills.

We believe in four simple virtues that shape everything we do:

  • Positive Attitude
  • Inclusion
  • Social Ties
  • Growth

For us, this means that when you choose a cup half-full mindset and welcome people form every background, build real friendships across the bar by creating great guest experiences, and use every shift as a chance to learn something new, you become more than just a juicer; like us, you continue to search and mind purpose and meaning in what you do.

From your first day, you’ll be part of an international network of juicers who support each other, celebrate wins together, and push each other to grow. You will learn by doing, move through a clear Moneyball career path, and be part of a company where most leaders have earned their stripes behind the bar (fun fact: over 75% of our employees started as Juicers!).

If you love fast paced service, music, people, and the idea of turning a job into a lifestyle, JOE can become a place to build skills, friendships, and a career that can take you across cities, countries, and roles.

Your Mission

The Global Ops Junior Associate supports the Head of Operational Engineering by acting as an in-store tester and on-the-ground observer. This is a hands-on, store-facing role focused on generating real-world data and feedback that directly informs operational engineering decisions across the JOE & THE JUICE global network.

Designed for a curious and structured student, this role offers a unique opportunity to understand how world-class hospitality operations are engineered at scale. By embedding in live store environments, the Global Ops Junior Associate helps validate new equipment, observe workflows, measure speed and task execution, capture Juicer feedback, and assess store set-ups — providing the Operational Engineering function with the ground-level insight that drives smarter, faster decisions.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operational Engineering, this role is a learning-by-doing opportunity for someone who wants to see operational excellence up close and contribute meaningfully to how JOE & THE JUICE improves, tests, and scales its store operations globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test new and updated equipment in live store environments, documenting performance, usability, and ease of use from a Juicer perspective.
  • Create and maintain a library of globally ops approved equipment and smallware.
  • Conduct structured workflow observations - timing tasks, counting steps, and identifying friction points that impact speed and execution quality.
  • Support speed testing and time & motion studies across in-store tasks to generate reliable, structured productivity data.
  • Gather Juicer feedback on tools, smallwares, equipment, and operational changes in a consistent and structured manner.
  • Assess store set-ups against defined standards, identifying gaps and capturing examples of brilliant execution.
  • Document all observations, test results, and findings clearly and accurately, reporting back to the Head of Operational Engineering.
  • Contribute to the development of operational playbooks and standards by validating what works and what doesn't in our stores.
  • Engage positively with store teams to ensure testing and observation activities are non-disruptive and well-received.

What you’ll bring

You are curious, observant, and structured. You show up to stores ready to learn and contribute meaningfully, and you take your reporting seriously because your findings directly shape engineering decisions that affect stores globally.

You are at the top of your class studying at either CBS or DTU -  we are looking for both Bachelor's and Master's students. The role is considered a natural step before going into a full-time position after finishing your studies, preferably with us.
We expect that you can work 15–20 hours per week. You also have experience from the QSR industry, either at Joe & the Juice or elsewhere.

Joe & the Juice is on a massive growth journey, and you will notice from day one that your recommendations will directly impact the daily work of more than 6,000 Juicers and help lay the foundation as we scale towards 1,000 stores.

The role is based in our HQ in Copenhagen (no remote work) and you can expect a split between spending half of your working days in our stores conducting tests and the other half working on test reports and SOPs in our office, scaling brilliant operations globally. So, if you aren't afraid of rolling up your sleeves and love spending time in stores and seeing change happen, this role is for you.
