QA Engineer (Rider IDE)

Belgrade, Serbia; Berlin, Germany; Limassol, Cyprus; Munich, Germany; Paphos, Cyprus; Prague, Czech Republic; Warsaw, Poland; Yerevan, Armenia

At JetBrains, code is our passion. Since 2000, we've been building tools that help developers focus on what truly matters: solving problems and creating. Rider is our cross-platform IDE for .NET and game development, combining the best of IntelliJ IDEA and ReSharper into one powerful tool.

We are looking for a QA Engineer who enjoys solving puzzles, diving into unknown areas, and helping make Rider reliable for developers all over the world. In this role, you'll work on execution and debugging scenarios, making sure Rider runs smoothly in different environments, from local machines to Docker and Azure. You don't need to be a debugging expert already – what matters most is your curiosity and drive to learn.

You'll get to explore, learn, and grow while testing some of the most powerful developer tools in the world. Your work will directly shape how thousands of developers write, run, and debug their code every day. And you'll do it all with teammates who value openness, collaboration, and fresh ideas.

As part of our team, you’ll:

  • Take ownership of quality from start to finish, ensuring issues are followed through from discovery to resolution.
  • Explore and test Rider's execution and debugging workflows across different environments, including Docker, Azure, and remote debugging.
  • Design, improve, and execute tests for new and existing functionality.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to shape features and plan releases.
  • Track user feedback and reported issues, making sure they are fully investigated and resolved.

What we're looking for:

  • Have at least two years of experience, ideally in situations where you didn't always have a clear spec.
  • Interest in working with debugging scenarios, containers, or cloud environments.
  • Basic coding knowledge in C# / Java / Kotlin (enough to write and run small apps).
  • Comfort working with IDEs (Rider, Visual Studio or any IntelliJ-based products).
  • A belief that software should be both high-quality and user-friendly.

We'd be especially happy if you:

  • Have professional experience writing code in C# or another programming language.
  • Have already worked with debugging scenarios, containers, or cloud environments.
  • Enjoy sharing insights and collaborating across teams.
