Area Profit Protection Manager (m/f/d)

As Area Profit Protection Manager, you will play a key role in protecting JD’s people, stock, property, and profitability in your region. Based in Amsterdam, you will oversee 13 stores in the Netherlands and 12 stores across Scandinavia. You will work closely with store management and cross-functional teams to create a safe and compliant retail environment. 

Your Responsibilities: 

• Conduct case-based investigations as directed by the Profit Protection Management 

• Act as a visible presence across your area to promote security awareness and reduce stock loss 

• Lead and support case-based investigations, including internal dishonesty and external theft 

• Analyze and follow up on audit results and store shrinkage – develop action plans where needed 

• Conduct regular security compliance checks and support internal audits 

• Ensure proper functionality and usage of security systems (e.g. CCTV), including covert installations when required 

• Deliver security training and guidance to store teams and management 

• Liaise with local law enforcement, external partners, and investigation agencies 

• Support store openings/closures and incident responses (e.g. burglary, workplace violence) 

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of criminal law, HR guidelines, and internal procedures 

• Prepare detailed, structured reports and documentation in English 

• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times 

What You Bring: 

• Several years of experience in security, profit protection, or loss prevention – ideally in a retail environment 

• Strong knowledge of stock control, retail operations, and audit processes 

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and regions 

• Self-driven, hands-on approach with strong organizational skills 

• Ability and willingness to travel extensively across your area (Netherlands & Scandinavia) 

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
