Job purpose:
Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer we are recruiting for a Head of Product Marketing-US to lead the development and execution of go-to market strategies for Janes, with a primary focus on our US government, military and defense customers, ensuring that our value proposition is clear, compelling and aligned with their mission critical needs.
How you will contribute at Janes:
The Head of Product Marketing – US will play a pivotal role in translating complex product capabilities into targeted use-case driven marketing that connects with decision makers. Working in close partnership with the Product team you will be responsible for developing use case-specific messaging and turning that into scalable campaigns, sales enablement and website content to drive growth and engagement.
This is a highly collaborative role that bridges product, sales, customer success and marketing and requires a deep understanding of the federal and defense landscape, including how Janes data and solutions can support our customers.
Strategy and positioning
- Develop and own the go-to-market strategy for Janes product portfolio in the US market.
- Create use case-specific product marketing messaging that speaks directly to the operational needs of national security and defense customers.
- Define product positioning, messaging, and value proposition aligned to customer missions and market needs.
- Translate technical capabilities into clear mission focussed outcomes, demonstrating how Janes data supports threat assessment, capability analysis, procurement planning and geopolitical risk monitoring for our customers.
Product Marketing and Campaign Development
- Lead cross functional product launches including messaging, sales enablement and marketing campaigns.
- Utilize use case-specific messaging as the foundation for the marketing campaigns and website content that engages personals across the federal and defense ecosystem.
- Build a scalable library of marketing materials tailored to use cases, ensuring consistency across sales, digital and event channels.
Market Intelligence
- Conduct competitive analysis, market research and customer segmentation to inform product development and sales strategy.
Sales enablement
- Work closely with the Sales Enablement manager to create tools, content and training materials that enable the sales and customer success teams to articulate the value of the Janes offering.
Customer Advocacy
- Identify and develop reference customers and case studies in partnership with Customer Success and Sales
- Drive customer engagement through targeted content, case studies, and webinars that highlight impactful outcomes of the Janes products.
The ideal skills and experience for this role are:
- 8+ years in B2B Product marketing, ideally within data/ SaaS
- Deep understanding of US government, military and federal procurement and decision making
- Strong experience in developing use case-based messaging and scaling it across campaigns, product collateral and websites.
- Ability to distil complex product capabilities into clear, outcome- orientated messaging that drives interest and adoption
- Previous experience in marketing subscription or platform-based solutions
- Proven track record of leading Product Marketing strategies that drive revenue growth
