Job Purpose:
• Research: Conduct extensive research to identify companies under Aerospace and Defence domain, understand its structure, products and business. Evaluate inter-company relationship, its operational branches and presence worldwide.
• Sourcing: Collecting and analysing primary and secondary data sources.
• Analyse: Company events like organisational restructure - divestment, spin off, merger, business acquisitions, joint venture, and its impact on ownership changes.
• Validation: cross referenced data like manufacturing facilities with type of equipment or products, business segments covered for military purpose
• Report Writing: Creating comprehensive company profiles that effectively communicate research findings like financials, business segments, and strategic insights to key stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: Identifying research gaps and formulating research questions to address complex business challenges and support evidence-based decision-making.
• Organising: Work allocation to team based on priority requests received, keeping SLA target.
How will you contribute to Janes:
* Contribute to multiple facets of the Janes datasets, analyse, and interpret facts from OEM or outsource, using OSINT applications.
* Monitoring and following companies’ part of any merger or acquisition.
* Summarize company profile and business, thereby relate to country intelligence reports.
* Assisting with quality control on certain facets in the Janes dataset.
Requirements
The Ideal skills and experience for this role:
• Graduate or postgraduate with finance stream or business management studies, has ability to research, authenticate sources and keen on data analysis
• 3+ years of extensive company’s data research experience.
• Strong background on company law and its financials or work experience on the same.
• Communication skills like written, verbal and presentation.
• Inquisitiveness to research and interpret data, understanding of defence company news.
• Knowledge on Mergers & Acquisitions, financial reports or annual reports check is mandatory.
• MS Office applications, like excel intermediate, word documentation or access is desirable.
• Knowledge of power BI and Tableau is an advantage but not mandatory.
