Director of Group Accounting (m/f/d)

Mission Brief 

The Director of Group Accounting is responsible for the accuracy, compliance, and transparency of all group financial reporting. This includes managing consolidation, driving accounting governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and serving as a key financial counterpart to internal and external stakeholders. 

Your Role in Our Space Mission 

Financial Reporting & Consolidation 

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements (HGB/IFRS).
• Ensureaccurate,timely, and complete consolidation of all group entities. 
• Develop andmaintaingroup accounting policies and reporting standards. 
• Cooperate closely with Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and local Finance teams.

Accounting Compliance & Governance 

• Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal guidelines.
• Oversee the internal control system (ICS) related to accounting.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors and authorities.

SAP S/4HANA & Process Optimization 

• Act as key functional owner for SAP S/4HANA inAccounting.
• Optimizeand harmonize accounting processes across the group. 
• Demonstratestrong hands-on mentality in operational and system topics. 

Stakeholder Management 

• Serve as advisor to senior management and global stakeholders.
• Ensure clear, transparent, and targeted communication across all levels.

Qualification Checklist 

• 10–15+ years of experience in Group Accounting, Audit, or related fields. 
• Preferably certified asCPA, tax advisor, or auditor.
• Deepexpertisein HGB and IFRS. 
• Extensive SAP S/4HANA experience, including design/implementation.
• Strong leadership, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills.
•  Fluent in English and German
