Working student (f/m/d) - Data Engineer AI Solutions

Tasks

As the central team for the application of AI in the technology sector at IONOS, we implement data-driven proof of concepts and projects for our business partners on our open-source big data platform. To support this initiative, we are looking for you as a dynamic addition in the area of Data Engineering. Your tasks will include, among other things, the following activities:

• You will work with data from different business areas of the company.
• You will support our Data Scientists in the implementation and evaluation of AI and ML projects by implementing ETL jobs with Apache Nifi and further improving our Trino data platform.
• You will utilize the creative freedom provided to you to develop new solutions and approaches for data processing and elevate our data platform to a new level.

Qualifications

Ideally, you are still studying computer science, business informatics, or a natural or engineering science with a strong IT focus for at least another 1-2 years, and you are interested in a part-time position alongside your studies where you can gain or deepen practical experience. Our experienced Data Scientists and Software Engineers will, of course, support you in your tasks. You should also bring the following knowledge and skills:

• Knowledge of databases and SQL
• Basics of one programming language, e.g., Python, R, Go, Java, etc.
• Structured, independent working style
• Basics of using Linux and shell scripts

Language: Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written

Location: Karlsruhe
