OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Developer Advocate to help developers succeed with our tools and strengthen their connection to the Flutter and Dart ecosystem. This role is rooted in proactive problem-solving, real-world technical engagement, and building meaningful relationships with the developer community.

You will spend time deeply understanding developer workflows, identifying gaps in our products, and shaping solutions through feedback and collaboration. Alongside this, you’ll create impactful resources, participate in community discussions, and represent Invertase at events.

This position goes beyond content creation or community management—you’ll work hands-on with our products, advocate for developers’ needs, and ensure they have the tools and support to build exceptional applications. If you’re passionate about solving technical challenges, engaging with developers, and driving product improvement, this is the role for you.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developer Advocacy: Gather feedback from the community and collaborate with the product team to address pain points and improve tools and resources.
• Community Engagement: Build relationships in forums and other spaces, and represent Invertase at meetups, workshops, and conferences.
• Content Creation: Develop tutorials, guides, and educational resources that help developers adopt and use our products effectively.
• Education and Enablement: Host workshops, webinars, and talks to empower developers to succeed with our products and to share best practices.
• Social Media Management: Grow Invertase’s presence by sharing updates, insights, and engaging content tailored to the Flutter and Dart developer community.
• Technical Feedback: Use and test our products like a developer, identifying bugs and usability issues, and provide actionable insights to guide product improvements.
• Internal Collaboration: Work with product, engineering, and marketing teams to share insights and align on developer needs.
• Community Growth: Expand Invertase’s reach in the Flutter and Dart ecosystem by fostering connections and driving engagement strategies.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required Skills:

• Dart And Flutter Expertise: Strong experience with Flutter and Dart, with a deep understanding of developer workflows and challenges.
• Content Development: Proven ability to create technical content such as blog posts, guides, tutorials, or sample applications for both beginner and advanced developers.
• Video Production (Preferred): Familiarity with video content creation, including recording, editing, and publishing technical videos, or a willingness to learn with team support.
• Community Building: A track record of engaging with and growing developer communities through active online participation, events, and contributions.
• Social Media Savvy: Experience managing or contributing to technical product social media accounts, with an understanding of how to engage and grow a developer audience.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal English language skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, approachable ways.
• Strategic Positioning: The ability to creatively position our products against competitors and clearly articulate their value within the Flutter and Dart ecosystem.
• Brand Growth: A marketing mindset that uses data analysis, growth hacking techniques and experimentation to amplify Invertase’s presence. Use metrics and insights to optimise strategies that drive the recognition and adoption of our tools and resources among developers.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience attending or organising meetups, workshops, or conferences.
• Contributions to the open-source community that highlights technical problem-solving.
• Familiarity with cross-platform development practices and tools beyond Flutter and Dart.
