Head of Bare Metal Services (f/m/d)

As the Head of Bare Metal Services, you will be responsible for leading a 7-member team specializing in the management, automation, and further development of our Bare Metal Hardware, which provides Bare Metal Cloud Services and dedicated servers to our customers.

Tasks
- Leading and coordinating the day-to-day operations of a highly motivated team of system administrators and technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of hosting environments, including dedicated servers, Bare Metal Clouds, and the associated automated provisioning infrastructure in data center operations.
- You will keep an overview of the department's daily tasks and ensure that KPIs and SLAs are met, among other things.
- You will liaise with product management and development regarding the timely and accurate implementation of orders in the Kanban process.
- You will identify the need for necessary and useful measures and support their planning and implementation.
- Implementation of best practices, processes, and standards to optimize the efficiency, availability, and reliability of Bare Metal device operations and ensure reliable 24x7 operation.
- Monitoring performance metrics, analyzing trends, and implementing solutions to improve the overall server hosting infrastructure.
Qualifications
We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and open-minded individual with the following qualifications and skills:
- Several years of experience in the management and operation of hardware in data centers or in a comparable position, ideally in the field of server technologies or IT infrastructure.
- Strong tactical leadership and team management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading technical teams in hybrid and distributed environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German and English.
