We’re based in the UK, Germany, and Sweden.  

 

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Licensing Manager with expertise in the Online Licensing market to join our Commercial Team at the earliest opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pro-actively identify and drive licensing opportunities in new business areas that may include video, gaming, generative AI and other social related services as well as audio services, working collaboratively with the analytics team to carry out valuations of market segments and new opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations, support senior management and carry out in-depth analysis of commercial proposals.
  • Deliver licensing solutions to maximise revenues for each account to ensure all their services and territories are licensed effectively and fully.
  • Work closely with business development and operational teams to ensure strategic partnerships and first-party products offered as part of our licensing services for new and existing business deliver “best in class” services to rightsholders.
  • Prepare and present licence proposals to ICE management team and licensing committees
  • Ensure rightsholder licensing customers remain informed of high-value licence performance and market developments during and (as necessarily) in between committees.
  • Orchestrate and where needed, deliver cross-team and cross-departmental training as to the specifics of any new business segments delivered.
  • Build close working relationships with accounts.
  • Take full responsibility for resolving issues, identify necessary changes and engage with relevant business partners (particularly processing operations, legal and finance).
  • Carry out complex and high value licence fee adjustments for accounts.

Team Management

  • Lead, inspire and support other members of the licensing team, encouraging personal development and sharing of best practice and knowledge.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Graduate level education or relevant work experience
  • Background in a commercial negotiation/account management role.
  • An excellent knowledge of the online licensing market.
  • Experience in driving forwards new areas of business. 
  • Expertise in gathering, analysing and interpreting data.
  • Experience of negotiating complex contractual issues.
  • Curiosity for and an interest in new media industries, e.g. online, gaming, AI. Experience in these areas are beneficial.
  • Experience and knowledge of the operational and/or licensing processes for video/social /UGC platforms e.g. YouTube not essential but a positive.
  • A good understanding of all Microsoft Office software.
