We’re excited to announce a new and highly important role: Security Engineering & Technology Manager.

This position will lead the technology and systems supporting our Internal Security function.
The role will cover both hardware and software – from CCTV, alarm systems, and physical security equipment to video monitoring automation and user applications such as panic buttons and issue reporting.

This is a critical role for the organisation, which is why we are opening it as a separate internal position and we encourage employees with technology backgrounds from all divisions from Exness to apply.

There are no specific experience requirements; only technology knowledge and a will to develop

What you'll actually do

  • Own and continuously improve the technology and systems supporting Physical Security operations.
  • Manage and develop physical security systems, infrastructure, equipment, and related technology solutions.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, scalability, and operational readiness of critical security systems.
  • Define technology standards and oversee the lifecycle of physical security technology, from requirements and implementation through operation, upgrades, and replacement.
  • Drive integration and automation across security systems to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Lead the development, operation, and continuous improvement of software solutions supporting Physical Security.
  • Manage the team responsible for security mobile applications used by employees and security personnel.
  • Ensure applications provide reliable capabilities for requesting security assistance, emergency alerts, incident reporting, and communication with Security Operations.
  • Translate Physical Security operational requirements into clear product and technical priorities.
  • Ensure software solutions are scalable, reliable, maintainable, and fit for operational use.
  • Drive integration between security applications, physical security systems, and relevant enterprise platforms.
  • Lead and develop a team of Security Software Engineers and Security Engineers.
  • Set team objectives, priorities, technical direction, and delivery expectations.
  • Build a strong engineering culture focused on reliability, quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage recruitment, performance, career development, resource planning, and succession.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between engineering teams and Physical Security Operations.
  • Ensure technology effectively supports day-to-day Physical Security operations and emergency response.
  • Establish appropriate support, monitoring, escalation, and incident management processes for critical security systems.
  • Ensure timely resolution of technology incidents affecting access, security systems, equipment, or employee safety applications.
  • Support Physical Security teams during major incidents and emergency situations from a technology perspective.
  • Establish appropriate resilience, backup, recovery, and business continuity capabilities for critical security technology.
  • Own and maintain the Physical Security Technology roadmap, aligned with security strategy and operational requirements.
  • Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve employee safety, security effectiveness, operational efficiency, and scalability.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, system integrators, and external service providers.
  • Participate in technology selection, procurement, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Act as the technology partner for Physical Security leadership and coordinate with IT, Facilities, HR, Engineering, and other stakeholders.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Security Management, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications in physical security, technology, project management, or engineering management would be an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, IT infrastructure, or a related technical field, including 2+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
  • Experience working with physical security technologies, systems, and operations, particularly in environments where reliability and safety are critical, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering, system architecture, mobile applications, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, and technology lifecycle management. 
  • Experience leading technical design and delivery of reliable, scalable technology solutions. 
  • Ability to translate business and operational requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Knowledge of physical security technologies is highly desirable.
  • Strong people and technical leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills. 
  • Ability to set priorities, make sound technical and business decisions, manage complex initiatives, and develop high-performing engineering teams. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a pragmatic and hands-on approach. 
  • Ability to work effectively across engineering, Physical Security, IT, Facilities, HR, and other business functions.
