Why this role matters
The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for ensuring that management and business developers are getting accurate and timely data to take action. Together with management, the Lead Business Intelligence Analyst identifies gaps and inefficiencies through testing, analyzing, visualizing, productionizing and supporting data (either in the format of dashboards or ad-hoc reports), which will allow management to make data-driven decisions. This role focuses on creating accurate, neat and clear visualizations of corporate data, supported by observations and conclusions.
The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.
What you'll actually do
- Collect business and data requirements to provide practical data analysis and reporting automation through constant collaboration with key stakeholders such as partnership product and risk protection team
- Propose possible solutions in case business and data requirements are not clearly visible because of the existing business reality
- Effectively communicate development cycle stages and ETAs to the management and key stakeholders
- Build, test, productionize and support data sources for dashboards and reports
- Build, test, productionize and support data sources for self-service data sources
- Build frameworks to test various hypothesizes and help management to implement the resulting findings
- Regularly monitor, analyze and explain the behaviour of KPIs and metrics in key business domains and effectively communicate insights to management and key stakeholders.
- Ensure data and metrics numbers are consistent across all data sources and reports provided by the team
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards in Tableau, following the corporate Reporting Style Guide, considering the modern information design techniques and laws of visual perception
- Automate, Streamline and optimize existing management and operational reports in Tableau
- Support existing automated reports and underlying data sources
- Prepare ad-hoc reports in case automation is not reasonable
- Provide daily support to business users with issues/questions related to BI reporting and visualization instruments, as well as underlying data
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in Mathematical / Software Engineering / Computer Science education
- Relevant certifications optional but beneficial: Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Tableau Certified Architect
- 3+ years of experience in BI (data analysis and visualization, reporting automation)
- Proven practical experience in full-cycle dashboards development
- Strong knowledge of SQL.
- Strong data visualization skills, including proficiency in Tableau Desktop, is a must (in order to visualize and summarize complex data into interactive dashboards, considering the modern information design techniques and laws of visual perception)
- Ability to process, test and analyze big data, refine it and draw conclusions for solutions
- Overview of fundamental data analysis methods and techniques
- Basic knowledge of mathematical statistics is a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-functional setups (to understand the needs of stakeholders and manage their expectations, as well as effectively communicate findings and stages of the development cycle in common)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make reasonable technical decisions on fundamental data analysis methods and data visualization
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to be an expert in the relevant data domain
- Excellent English communication skills
