
DevOps Engineer
Why this role matters
As a Virtualisation’s DevOps Engineer, your job is to manage, support, and develop a Company’s virtualisation platform.
We are looking for a seasoned engineer who has experience with public and private clouds (OpenStack-based, Kubevirt-based), Kubernetes management, software-defined networks, and storage.
The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.
What you'll actually do
- Scope of technical work planning.
- Technical requirements review and update.
- Conducting PoC of new developing solutions.
- Representing results matching requirements with a strong technical, systematic approach.
- Developing deployment procedures, scripts, playbook, and HCL.
- Deploying virtualisation environments / private clouds within automation.
- Supporting existing and new virtualisation platform deployments.
- Developing deployment automation on top of virtualisation platforms / private clouds.
- Maintaining observability for virtualisation platforms.
- Ensuring the availability and reliability of platforms.
- Communicating with Platform Engineering and SRE teams.
- Updating software with security patches.
- Testing and rolling out software upgrades.
Who we’re looking for
- Strong engineering education (Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent).
- Good IP-based network understanding with experience in SDN (software-defined networks).
- Strong Linux mastering skills (namespaces, cgroup, qemu/kvm).
- Proficient in Containerisation and Orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift).
- Advanced understanding of virtualisation on qemu/kvm.
- Experience with OpenStack is welcome.
- Strong Infrastructure-as-Code approach, Gitops practices.
- Well scripting skills in Terraform and Helm charts.
- Automation development in Python or Golang.
- Experience with Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK).
- Team player skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Spoken and written English - upper-intermediate level or above.
