Why this role matters

As a Platform Engineer at Exness, you will join a team working with high-load, high-availability, and geo-spreading production systems. Your main goal is to provide the best possible experience for traders by contributing to various products and projects, adhering to best practices and standards. As a key member of the PaaS team, you will ensure high quality and flexibility in orchestration, monitoring, logging, and common services and applications at Exness.

The role is based in our Limassol office, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.

What you'll actually do

  • Improve and maintain orchestration using Kubernetes (on-premises and clouds)
  • Participate in the development of the k8s as a service solution in different regions for internal development teams
  • Participate in duties related to platform activities
  • Maintain all services related to the Kubernetes offering: ArgoCD, Istio, Calico, etc.
  • Maintain platform services and applications like Redis and Keycloak

Who we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in production environments 
  • Proven track record working in high-scale product companies, ideally within fintech, trading platforms, or regulated digital services
  • Experience administering self-hosted Kubernetes as a Platform Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with Kubernetes (on-premises/self-hosted), experience with Cluster API would be a plus
  • Experience with Helm (Helmfile would be a plus), ArgoCD, CI/CD such as Gitlab CI
  • Good understanding of Linux (experience with Alma Linux, RedHat-based distros is a plus)
  • Understanding of networks and their configuration in Kubernetes (experience with Calico or Cilium)
  • Experience with Terraform (Terragrunt would be a plus), Ansible
  • Experience with a telemetry stack (Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, etc.) 
  • Experience implementing security best practices in cloud and on-premise IT environments, following industry standards and recommendations
  • Relevant certifications (optional but beneficial): Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to lead by example in high-ambiguity environments 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in a cross-functional setup

  1. First interview with Talent Acquisition Specialist (up to 45 minutes)
  2. Short online English test (for non-native speakers)
  3. Technical interview (90 minutes)
  4. Behavioural interview (60 minutes)
