Team Leader (Web Terminal)

Your role at Exness:
Team Leader - is a technical leader and mentor of the team, whose primary goal is to maintain growth, professional expertise, and high team productivity efficiency. As working in an agile environment, Team Leader is responsible for the team's performance and the result's quality of the team. The team leader is responsible for the efficiency of the process, consistency, and predictability of the delivery. As a technical leader, Team Leader is responsible for the quality and timeliness of the service provided and the compliance of the result with business needs.
You will:
- Lead the assessment, selection, and implementation of technologies, tools, and architecture for the team. Make final decisions on the tech stack, ensuring alignment with business needs and long-term scalability. Collaborate with other tech leads to ensure cohesive architecture across products.
- Own the resolution and prevention of product incidents. Conduct root-cause analysis and implement systemic fixes to improve product reliability. Actively engage the team in learning from incidents to build resilience.
- Participate in planning by setting team goals, analyzing dependencies, and aligning priorities. Track progress against objectives and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful delivery.
- Guide the design and implementation of technical solutions that address business requirements. Ensure that the team’s outputs are efficient, scalable, and maintainable.
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of application implementation and support. Maintain standards and ensure service levels meet expectations agreed with business stakeholders.
- Evaluating team and individual performance, provide constructive feedback, and help individuals build on strengths while addressing areas of improvement. Align personal development with business outcomes.
- Support the professional growth of team members through mentoring, coaching, and development initiatives. Work with HR, L&D, and managers to align development goals with organizational needs.
- Build a high-performance culture by motivating and inspiring the team. Recognize achievements, encourage ownership, and maintain a positive, accountable team environment.
What makes you a great fit:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in software development in cross-functional teams
- Proven track record working in high-scale product companies, ideally within fintech, trading platforms, or regulated digital services.
- Strong expertise in designing and building scalable, secure, and resilient distributed systems.
- Advanced proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience building SPAs using React, Redux, Redux-Saga, and Ramda
- Working knowledge of TypeScript.
- Solid experience with CSS (incl. preprocessors), and build tools (webpack, yarn, npm).
- Full understanding of web development lifecycle: design, development, deployment.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- English level - B2 and higher.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to lead by example in high-ambiguity.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-functional setups (e.g., working with Product, Security, and Compliance teams).
- Coaching and mentoring mindset to support engineers’ growth.
- Ability to prioritize and delegate in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.
Nice to have:
- Deep knowledge of modern backend technologies (e.g., Go, Java, Python) and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.).
