DevOps Engineer

Your role at Exness:

As a Virtualisation’s DevOps Engineer, your job is to manage, support, and develop a Company’s virtualisation platform.

We are looking for a seasoned engineer who has experience with public and private clouds (OpenStack-based, Kubevirt-based), Kubernetes management, software-defined networks, and storage.

You will:

  • Scope of technical work planning.
  • Technical requirements review and update.
  • Conducting PoC of new developing solutions.
  • Representing results matching requirements with a strong technical, systematic approach.
  • Developing deployment procedures, scripts, playbook, and HCL.
  • Deploying virtualisation environments / private clouds within automation.
  • Supporting existing and new virtualisation platform deployments.
  • Developing deployment automation on top of virtualisation platforms / private clouds.
  • Maintaining observability for virtualisation platforms.
  • Ensuring the availability and reliability of platforms.
  • Communicating with Platform Engineering and SRE teams.
  • Updating software with security patches.
  • Testing and rolling out software upgrades.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Strong engineering education (Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent).
  • Good IP-based network understanding with experience in SDN (software-defined networks).
  • Strong Linux mastering skills (namespaces, cgroup, qemu/kvm).
  • Proficient in Containerisation and Orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift).
  • Advanced understanding of virtualisation on qemu/kvm.
  • Experience with OpenStack is welcome.
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code approach, Gitops practices.
  • Well scripting skills in Terraform and Helm charts.
  • Automation development in Python or Golang.
  • Experience with Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK).
  • Team player skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Spoken and written English - upper-intermediate level or above.
