Release Engineer

Your role at Exness:
We are looking for a DevOps/Release Engineer that will join our strong and always growing team in a key position. This role requires a flexible and resourceful engineer who, in addition to DevOps responsibilities, can also troubleshoot and investigate system issues, collaborate with teammates to identify solutions, and proceed with their implementation, creating tools or scripts, and occasionally contributing directly to backend systems and services.
You will:
- Be in charge of the CI / CD processes in our department (across several development teams), and organize end-to-end DevOps processes;
- Collaborate closely with our SRE, Security and Platform teams, utilizing their guidance, knowledge and tools;
- Automate deployment of test and integration environments;
- Implement application monitoring processes, log-ins, health-checks;
- Conduct technical investigations and assist in root cause analysis across infrastructure and applications;
- Build and maintain scripts and small services to improve automation, monitoring, and operational efficiency;
- Collaborate with backend engineers to contribute to our systems or tools when needed.

- Development: Python, Go, Node.js
- Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, EKS), bare-metal solutions

- Orchestration: Kubernetes
- VCS/CICD: Gitlab, Gitlab CI
What makes you a great fit:
- Have experience in development and administration of IT systems 5 years+;
- Has hands-on experience in Python or Golang, with the ability to write tools or services from scratch;
- Have experience with containerization solutions and any container orchestration system (ideally hands-on experience with Kubernetes);
- Have expertise with build automation and continuous delivery tools;
- Has strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis across distributed systems;
- Has a good understanding of Quality Control and test automation in agile-based continuous integration environments;
- Knowledge of English at an intermediate conversational level.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud solution (S3,EC2,EKS,ECR,RDS,ElastiCache,CloudWatch,CloudFormation);
- Experience with Kubernetes;
- Experience with Gitlab-CI;
- SQL knowledge and understanding how modern RDBMS are working, especially PostgreSQL;
- Passion for software optimization and systems efficiency;
- Basic understanding of data replication;
- Knowledge not only about how to deploy a service (Redis / PostgreSQL /MongoDB) but also how to use it;
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and support engineers from other teams with tooling and infrastructure.
