POSITION STATUS:  Full Time
REPORTS TO:  Executive Editor
LOCATION:  London Office

SALARY BANDING:  £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

 

THE ROLE

The Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade is looking to appoint a new Creative Content Producer within its Corporate Affairs department.

The Creative Content Producer will create engaging multimedia content for use across the Chartered Institute’s major external channels, including social media, web, events and newsletters. They will also manage the Chartered Institute’s social media channels, co-creating and implementing an overarching strategy and focused campaigns to grow the Chartered Institute’s reach and number of relevant followers.

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Editor within the Editorial Content team and work closely with colleagues across the wider organisation including Events, Marketing and Public Affairs. They will need to have a proven ability to produce content at pace and across multiple formats including written, video and audio.  Experience of delivering high quality video content, editing and post-production is essential.

They will have a keen interest in international trade, politics or business and will ideally have previously worked in a B2B or similar context.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Produce original engaging content that raises awareness of the Chartered Institute’s international trade expertise, thought leadership and services.
  • Film or record engaging multimedia content that showcases the variety of experts at the Chartered Institute and the depth of their expertise – including the Director General.
  • Film or record engaging content featuring the broader international trade ecosystem, including the Chartered Institute’s members and key partners, as well as political and business leaders.
  • Produce content to high editorial and accessibility standards.
  • Work with colleagues to optimise how multimedia content is presented on our website and YouTube channel.
  • Produce and edit a variety of formats – from 30-second reels to longer-form ‘podcast style’ videos – using Adobe Creative Cloud (including Premiere Pro and After Effects) or similar software programmes.
  • Produce and repurpose content into a variety of formats and media – including written, video and audio – that can be used across the Chartered Institute’s wide array of channels and projects.
  • Play a key role in shaping the organisation’s broader multimedia and editorial strategies, bringing insights about the latest innovations and trends in digital content.
  • Assist on commercial projects by producing multimedia content for clients.
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement across relevant channels – particularly LinkedIn, working closely with the Editorial Content and Media Relations teams.
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination of the Chartered Institute’s social media channels, liaising with colleagues and partners on scheduling.
  • Track and measure KPIs on social media using performance analytics and report success of campaigns.
  • Keep in touch with latest social media best practices and ensure colleagues adhere to them.
  • Educate and support colleagues throughout the company on how to raise their own social media profiles while adhering to the Chartered Institute’s high professional standards and brand guidelines.
