SALARY:            £47,000 - £53,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities:

The main function of this job is to represent the Chartered Institute of Export and International Trade (Chartered  IOE&IT) Academy in the provision of training, advisory services, and educational services, with a primary focus on Sanitary & Phytosanitary (SPS) disciplines. The role will also encompass various international trade and customs topics.

The successful candidate needs to be confident providing training, customs advice, and tutoring both face-to-face and virtually, specifically in SPS and other International Trade related areas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Development: Create and update learning content, ensuring materials are current, engaging, and professionally delivered.
  • Advisory Services: Provide expert advice to clients on, compliance, and best practices within their required field
  • Public Speaking: Represent Chartered IOE&IT at industry events, forums, and public engagements, sharing expertise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a Regional and Local Champion, engaging with stakeholders and identifying opportunities to support and grow the Institute’s membership and learning base in SPS.
  • Content Contribution: Support the development of content for the website, publications, and member platforms, with a focus on SPS and many other trade-related activities.
  • Industry Representation: Participate in government forums and working groups, including those led by HMRC and the Cabinet Office, representing Chartered IOE&IT
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with changes to regulations, trade policies, and procedures both in the UK and internationally.
  • Ambassadorial Role: Uphold the values and integrity of Chartered IOE&IT through professional conduct and performance.

 

About You:

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience in Customs and Trade, with a strong emphasis on SPS.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Customs regulations, compliance, and international trade.
  • Skills: Strong presentation, communication, and content development skills. Proven track record of delivering training and consulting on all areas of International Trade
  • Innovation: Ability to innovate and take initiative in developing and delivering training programs.
  • Connectivity: Must have strong internet access at home.
