Product Director Insurance

Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands

About Insify

Insify is a well-funded InsurTech Series A company based in Amsterdam, dedicated to helping entrepreneurs create financial security for their business and themselves. We combine tech, AI and the talent of our people to revolutionize the insurance industry.

Our team is led by experienced entrepreneurs who have built successful businesses in the fintech/e-commerce space. We are backed by Europe's most successful Venture Capitalist, and partner with some of the largest insurance companies. We are on a path to truly disrupt the $720 billion global insurance business.

What you will be doing

Insify is looking for a driven and strategically strong Product Manager to join us on the journey to disrupt the insurance and wealth management sector and create the leading platform for entrepreneurs and freelancers’ financial security.

As we disrupt the insurance industry, we prefer not to hire from the industry itself. Instead, you have experience at a top tier (strategy) consultant or financial services companies. You might already have experience in building and scaling digital products, but in any case you are a fast learner, ambitious and driven.

As a Product Manager Insurance at Insify, you will take ownership of our product roadmap and work closely with teams across the business to deliver innovative insurance solutions that meet the needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses. You will drive the end-to-end product lifecycle—from idea generation and prioritization to execution and optimization—while ensuring that our solutions remain simple, fast, and fair.

In particular, you will:

  • Own and execute the product roadmap for the Dutch market, identifying key opportunities to improve our offerings and expand our reach.
  • Drive the creation, implementation and optimization of new and existing insurance products, collaborating with our insurance and reinsurance providers. In particular you’ll work on:
    • The end to end user journey
    • Designing the coverage, terms and conditions
    • Pricing and underwriting
    • Negotiating terms and conditions with risk carriers
  • Partner with teams across Insify, including Acutarial, UX, Tech, Data Science & Analytics, Customer Operations and Sales, to build and improve our products.
  • Conduct industry research, competitive benchmarking, and customer interviews to prioritize features that solve the biggest pain points for entrepreneurs.
  • Develop knowledge and keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory developments, and best practices.
  • Use data-driven insights and customer feedback to identify opportunities to simplify the user experience, optimize pricing, and improve underwriting processes.
  • Act as an ambassador for small business insurance, educating both internal and external stakeholders about our mission and product offerings.
  • Monitor product performance, including growth and profitability metrics, and take ownership of delivering continuous improvements.

What you’ll need

You have the ability to zoom in on details while keeping the big picture in mind. You’re skilled at turning complex problems into simple, elegant solutions and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You bring a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution and are deeply motivated to help entrepreneurs succeed.

Specifically:

  • Your prior experience consists of either:
    • 4-7 years of experience in at a top tier (strategy) consultant or financial services firm, or
    • Product management, preferably in fintech, insurtech, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with insurance products and processes, and having a track record of launching successful digital products is a pré. Alternatively you have a drive to dive deep quickly and an ability to learn fast.
  • Customer-obsessed, with a passion for creating products that empower small business owners.
  • Data-driven mindset, with proven experience using analytics to inform decision-making and product development.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (Dutch and English required).
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in ambiguity.

What we offer

  • Apply your skills and talents to disrupt one of the biggest global industries. Show the world insurance can be fair, transparent, and trustworthy.
  • Work closely with experienced and dedicated leaders who are passionate about innovation.
  • Thrive in a start-up environment: innovate, scale rapidly, take ownership of initiatives, and directly contribute to the company’s success.
  • Enjoy a competitive salary alongside an equity package.
  • Benefit from a pension plan and wellbeing budget.
  • Work from our HQ in Amsterdam, Europe’s highest-valued startup ecosystem.
  • Be part of a diverse team with colleagues from around the world; English is our company language.

Join us in reshaping the future of insurance and drive impactful growth initiatives that propel our company to new heights. If you are passionate about innovation, thrive on challenges, and are ready to make a difference, we want to hear from you! Apply now to join our product team at Insify.
