Senior Applications Engineer - Korea

We’re looking for a Korean & English speaking Senior Apps Support Engineer based in commuting distance of Dongan-gu, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea!
Are you a Senior Apps Support Engineer who enjoys building relationships with customers, understand their needs and ensuring they are addressed? Can you work closely with industry experts to understand both current and future requirements.

About the role:
A typical day for a Senior Apps Support Engineer could look like this:
- Being the primary point of contact for customers, creating a positive and supportive experience from the first conversation.
- Guiding customers through data collection and method development, taking time to understand their applications and optimising system and parameters to help them achieve optimum results.
- Ensuring applications projects, move forward smoothly to meet customer needs.
- Sharing product insights and results, presenting information in a professional and engaging manner.
- Exploring and diagnosing performance issues, through troubleshooting system behaviour and set‑up challenges.
- Supporting business development by running samples, presenting data, writing reports, contributing to conference presentations, and offering insightful input to build on our customer relationships.
Who we are looking for:
To succeed as a Senior Apps Support Engineer, we do need you to have:
- A high level of expertise in probe microscopy (AFM)
Nice to have:
- Experience in the Semiconductor industry, ideally in the metrology area
- Project management expertise
- Operation and use of industrial Metrology equipment
- Sales support within analytical instrumentation
- Managing characterisation and demonstration of metrology equipment
- Building effective relationships with customers and stakeholders
Education / Qualifications:
Either a Physical Sciences, Engineering or similar, or a clear equivalent path through relevant apprenticeship or accumulated experience.
