AAR - 2026 – Work-Integrated Master's Position

During this Work-Integrated Master’s Programme at IMC, you’ll gain first-hand experience of what it’s like to work in a leading global trading firm alongside your studies. In this role, you’ll add real value to our local team while developing analytical, technical, and business skills in a high-performance environment where innovation and collaboration go hand in hand.

You’ll take ownership of your own projects and work closely with some of the best minds in trading and quantitative research. Whether your interests lie in markets, data, or strategy, you’ll have the chance to explore your niche and make an impact.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-performance technology that supports energy trading
  • Work on the full software development lifecycle, from idea to deployment
  • Develop real-time pricing and trading systems, exchange connectivity, and analytics tools
  • Collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and other engineers
  • Be part of a new local team in Aarhus and shape its growth and culture

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong programming skills in C++ or Java
  • Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine interest in financial markets (no prior knowledge required)
  • Full professional fluency in English
  • Commitment to a four-year work-integrated master’s programme
  • Availability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week
  • You’re excited by the opportunity to shape a new business and build innovative systems from the ground up
