
Marketing and Brand Lead
We seek a Marketing and Brand Lead to join our Hong Kong office, playing a pivotal role in shaping IMC’s employer brand and recruitment marketing for the HK office. You will be a genuine thought partner to the Head of Marketing, APAC, on the HK and China recruitment marketing strategy, while also owning execution. You’ll bring deep marketing expertise, analytical rigour, and regional knowledge, with a thorough understanding of the Chinese market landscape and the cultural fluency to connect authentically with talent across Asia.
This role reports to the Head of Marketing, APAC, and works closely with global marketing, recruitment, and HR teams. Based in the Hong Kong office, you will be the on-the-ground marketing executor for the market and have the autonomy to drive the regional marketing agenda forward independently, raising issues and escalating decisions, where needed. From time to time, you may provide additional support on broader regional projects.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Serving as a strategic thought partner to the Head of Marketing, APAC, on HK and China recruitment marketing strategy by sharing on-the-ground market insight, competitive awareness, observations, and recommendations on how IMC should be positioned in these markets.
- Driving execution of the HK campus recruitment marketing strategy. You’ll activate IMC’s presence in Hong Kong and work with the recruitment team to build IMC’s profile as an employer of choice.
- Identifying and feeding insights on new marketing opportunities and channels for HK and China; synthesising market signals, platform trends, and audience behaviour to inform where IMC should invest and why.
- Translating recruitment targets and business requirements into compelling recruitment marketing campaigns to attract and engage top-tier candidates.
- Collaborating closely with recruiters to expand candidate pipelines and generate quality leads through online and onsite activations, nurturing those leads through to application.
- Building and maintaining a strong talent pool through targeted direct email and CRM marketing campaigns, with sensitivity to platform preferences and communication norms.
- Producing and adapting content across channels and overseeing the full lifecycle of branded merchandise, with strong judgment on what works for the Chinese markets.
- Collaborating with global marketing teams on global initiatives, including external partnerships and events such as gaming and chess competitions, trading challenges, and hackathons.
- Managing external partners and agencies and leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and scale across content creation, campaign execution, and reporting.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; overseas study experience is highly preferred.
- Near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English. Candidates with overseas study experience are highly preferred for this role.
- 7+ years of marketing experience, with a proven track record in employer branding or brand marketing and a sharp eye for detail. Comfortable operating in a primarily executional role while contributing strategic input and driving strategy.
- A love of marketing analytics; you're comfortable using data to inform decisions, measure campaign performance, and identify opportunities.
- Deep familiarity with the Chinese digital and social media landscape (WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and equivalent platforms), alongside a strong command of global channels including LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.
- Hands-on digital marketing experience across event management, CMS, and campaign execution, from either a brand or agency side.
- A natural collaborator and team player; you thrive in a regional team environment across time zones and cultures.
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and campaigns in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
