Business Operations Recruiter
6-Month Freelance Contract (April–September | Maternity Leave Cover)

IMC is a leading global trading firm, powered by technology and research. Our European recruitment team plays a critical role in enabling the growth of our trading, technology and business operations functions. We are looking for an experienced freelance recruiter to join us for a 6-month maternity leave cover. In this role, you will take ownership of Business Operations hiring and act as a trusted partner to the business during a period of continued growth.

Your Responsibilities

You will manage end-to-end recruitment across Business Operations (e.g. Legal, Compliance, Tax, Finance, HR and Payroll), working closely with hiring managers across IMC Europe. This includes:

  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from role intake and sourcing strategy to offer negotiation and closing.
  • Partnering with hiring managers to define clear role scopes, align on priorities and challenge constructively where needed;
  • Developing targeted sourcing and market mapping strategies in competitive talent markets;
  • Proactively identifying pipeline risks and adjusting approach where required;
  • Ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate experience;
  • Collaborating with HR and Compensation stakeholders to ensure smooth and well-prepared offer processes.

This role requires ownership, structure and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

Your Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of full lifecycle recruitment experience, ideally within a trading firm or another fast-paced, high-performance environment;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credibility with senior hiring managers.
  • Proven experience sourcing and closing high-quality professionals in competitive markets;
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively across multiple searches;
  • Experience working with Greenhouse (ATS) is preferred.
  • Experience using data and insights to improve hiring processes is a strong plus.
