Junior Sales Trading Analyst

Join IMC as an Institutional Sales Trading Analyst and become part of a dynamic, cross-functional team at the intersection of trading and sales, where you’ll help transform how we use data to drive market insight and counterparty engagement. In this unique role, you’ll support IMC’s trading efforts by analyzing and presenting data in ways that deliver real-time value to both our counterparties and internal stakeholders.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, interpret, and visualize trading and market data to support commercial decision-making.
  • Create tools and alerts using Python to track and react to market changes.
  • Use SQL to extract actionable insights from internal and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data quality and relevance.
  • Debug and enhance dashboards in Qlik SAAS to support sales discussions and counterparty engagement.
  • Present findings and tools to both internal and external stakeholders and with clarity and confidence.
  • Work closely with the sales team to support counterparty conversations with relevant data and market insight.
  • Contribute to projects that enhance the commercial value of data and improve team efficiency.

 

Your Skills and Experience:

  • BA/BS in Econometrics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in a data analytics, trading, or sales-related role.
  • Strong technical skills in Python (or similar scripting language).
  • Experience working with SQL and BI tools such as Qlik SAAS is a plus.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Outgoing and confident personality, comfortable presenting.
  • Proactive team player with an entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
