Data Quality Analyst 

At IMC, data is pivotal in shaping trading decisions across a wide range of financial products. We are seeking a Quantitative Data Quality Analyst to help enhance the data used in our trading algorithms. As a member of the Data Quality team, you are excited about digging into data to detect outliers and data quality issues at scale. 

 

Your responsibilities will include developing algorithms and come up with ways to improve the data quality. This will empower our researchers and traders to develop cutting-edge trading strategies based on high-quality data. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across various trading desks to understand how data is extracted and utilized, ultimately finding the best ways to improve its quality.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Analyze and assess new and existing data sources for quality and suitability. 
  • Collaborate with researchers and traders to identify and implement strategies for improving data quality. 
  • Develop algorithms to detect potential anomalies and come up with ways to improve the data quality. 
  • Build and maintain high-quality datasets for use in trading models. 
  • Work with technical teams to develop solutions that structurally enhance data integrity. 
  • Effectively communicate findings and issues with stakeholders.

 

What you bring to the team:

  • 3+ years of experience in quantitative analysis working with large datasets
  • A quantitative master degree in Mathematics, Econometrics or a related field
  • Experience in Trading and Financial Markets
  • Strong quantitive skills and thorough proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Polars)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical audiences.
