Director of Product (FTC Parental Cover)

London; Montreal

Duration: This is a fixed-term position, full-time role to cover a period of parental leave. The expected duration of the contract is approx 7.5 months, with a projected start date of mid-February 2026 and an expected end date of September 2026.

Reports to:  Director of Earned Revenue

Works with: Earned revenue and Contributed revenue, ISSB Engagement, ISSB Education and Communications teams 

Job purpose:  As the Director of Product, you’ll oversee product management for all IFRS Earned Revenue product offerings. You will manage a team of 5 product managers as you refine product-market fit, help reach new customers, and ensure your teams can strengthen current client relationships. You and your team will be responsible for product positioning and outreach strategy for each IFRS Foundation product line. As the Product Management team lead you will set the strategy and roadmap for all IFRS Products helping your team to add value to IFRS Products and effectively prioritise competing priorities. You will track and manage renewal rates for all Earned Revenue products, identifying trends that can be fed back into the product development process.

You are excited by the opportunity to build on the momentum of the Foundation’s new Sustainability Disclosure Standards, while also properly positioning and managing products for the Foundations well established Accounting Standards. You could work at any ambitious company, but nothing fires you up more than building products that achieve a mission and address real world problems.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Lead overall product development, growth, and delivery
  • Manage internal and external resources to maintain existing IFRS Earned Revenue products in a high-quality and profitable manner. This involves overseeing a team of 4 globally located Product Management staff, all assigned to specific product lines.
  • Drive revenue growth through a strategic balance of resources to retain existing renewal-based customers while refining and expanding current product offerings to attract new customers
  • Analyse markets and identify compelling ways to evolve our Earned Revenue offerings to reflect strong product-market fit in a mission-aligned and profitable way
  • Oversee efforts to collect, document, analyse, and report on feedback from IFRS’s products to improve future offerings
  • Oversee team’s use of Salesforce to grow earned revenue and maintain existing relationships
  • Ensure products delivered are built to meet client expectations
  • Ensure new clients receive the necessary support for the product they purchase
  • Work with the Product Marketing team to Earned Revenue products are properly positioned to enable maximum awareness of the programs driving organic inbound interest
  • Manage the B2B product renewal process and analysis for key programs, (Membership, Licensing, Digital Subscription) which includes managing the Customer Renewal Manager position.
  • Lead the design of IFRS content licensing product offering
  • Design robust licensing offerings that meet client needs and uses cases and also allows for flexibility as future Standards are published. This will include fundamental design choices, such as licensing information hierarchy, coding system to uniquely identify information components, and commercial structure
  • Manage IFRS Earned Revenue content access roadmap, representing both freely accessible non-commercial content access and content access limited to commercial relationships
  • Ensure interoperability of IFRS Sustainability and Accounting product offerings
  • Work towards building a unified experience across all product lines specifically finding ways to ensure Sustainability and Accounting clients do not have vastly different experiences
  • Build a strategy to align licensing products across ISSB and IASB standards
  • Collaborate with a range of IFRS Foundation teams to ensure interoperable processes for managing Salesforce and related systems

Skills & Qualifications

  • Commitment to IFRS Foundation’s mission
  • Advanced product management expertise and leading a product management team in delivering efficient services with accurate tracking and project completion
  • Preferred experience in licensing, software development, membership management, and educational products
  • Strong track record managing large, cross-functional projects, especially technology-related ones
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Service-oriented, strategic, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Results-driven, produces quality outcomes quickly
  • Flexible and enthusiastic in fast-paced environments
  • Familiarity with ESG/sustainability and accounting practices preferred; willingness to learn considered valuable
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Process-focused, skilled at identifying and implementing improvements
