Director of Marketing – Contributed and Earned Revenue ( FTC Parental Cover))
Duration: This is a fixed-term position, full-time role to cover a period of parental leave. The expected duration of the contract is 15 months, with a projected start date of February 2026 and an expected end date of April 2027.
Reports to: Chief of Communications
Works with: Earned revenue and Contributed revenue teams
Job purpose: The Director of Marketing - Contributed and Earned Revenue is a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that help achieve the organisation's revenue goals. The Director leads and oversees 1) all marketing strategies and initiatives to support the IFRS Foundation’s suite of products and 2) marketing strategies and materials to support the Foundation’s fundraising efforts. In this senior role, the Director ensures all marketing efforts support the Foundation in meeting its revenue and strategic objectives with key audiences around the world. This role will involve leading a team in creating and implementing comprehensive plans and liaising with and gaining buy-in from internal leaders and teams across the Foundation.
Principal accountabilities:
Marketing for Earned Revenue
- Oversee development and execution of marketing strategies for IFRS Accounting and IFRS Sustainability product offerings
- Collaborate with the Chief Revenue Officer and Director of Earned Revenue to align marketing efforts with organisational goals and priorities
- Work with Foundation’s Communications Directors (IASB, ISSB and Corporate Communications) to weave-in marketing objectives and activities into the communications planning activities (an important source of lead generation)
- Supervise marketing team members, providing direction, mentorship and support to ensure high performance
- Define product positioning and messaging to effectively communicate the value proposition of product suite
- Drive performance on agreed KPIs for supporting the earned revenue team
- Oversee development and execution of product marketing campaigns, including related content, across multimedia channels
- Oversee analysis of market data and customer feedback to make informed decisions and improve product positioning and messaging
- Develop new ways of producing and distributing content to maximize reach, audience, and impact
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives
Marketing for Contributed Revenue
- Support the development and execution of marketing strategies for development efforts, including corporate donors, jurisdictional funding, ISSB seed funding and philanthropy
- Collaborate with the Chief Revenue Officer and Director of Contributed Revenue to align marketing efforts with organisational goals and priorities
- Collaborate with the development team to create compelling messaging and cases for support
- Create engaging content including PPT, newsletters, letters
Skills, attributes and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a marketing or communications professional, preferably within a business-to-business, professional services setting within the financial sector.
- A good understanding of the corporate reporting landscape.
- Proven success in the strategic development and execution of marketing campaigns
- Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven expertise in collaborating with senior decision-makers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
