Principal accountabilities

  • Ensure new educational content is developed accurately, efficiently and within scope. This will involve owning technical content creation and refining/editing content that others have created, depending on the topic, your workload and others’ availability.
  • Ensure materials are produced in accordance with ISSB Education strategy, focused on supporting application and adoption of ISSB Standards. This may include, but is not limited to, updating Level II of the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential, producing slides with accompanying scripts, and other short, medium and long form written content.
  • Ensure content adheres to brand voice, tone and style guidelines.
  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external subject matter experts who could or do contribute to the writing and editing process.
  • Work with others across the Foundation and external partners to support smooth publication, including tasks related to design, editorial, production and distribution.
  • Ensure all content is produced in accordance with the requirements of the IFRS Foundation’s Due Process Handbook.
  • As needed, advise and coach other content creators on the desired format, voice/tone and learning objectives for educational materials, including applying key elements of the Foundation’s style guide.

Qualifications & experience

  • Proven ability to articulate the requirements of ISSB and SASB Standards.
  • Proven ability to effectively plan and execute content development projects that require seeking internal and external feedback, listening constructively, and exercising judgment to produce high-quality results.

Note that the most important qualifications are related to the skills mentioned above. Candidates for this position could be either well established or earlier career professionals.

Skills and attributes

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail. Can distil complex topics into a clear, stimulating narrative.

  • Execution-oriented; able to get things done quickly and with excellent quality.
  • Ability to prepare materials within a regulated environment subject to formal quality control and due process requirements.
  • Highly collaborative; experience and success coordinating with colleagues to achieve objectives, particularly colleagues who do not have a direct reporting relationship to you.
  • Effective communicator; communicates in a concise, clear and well-structured way, appropriately tailored to the audience.
  • Enthusiasm for entrepreneurial environments; comfort with fast-changing conditions and enthusiasm for working on small teams that move quickly and employ a roll-up-your sleeves mentality (which also gives you the opportunity to have a big impact on the final outcome!).
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and experience with Adobe Workfront or other project management software.
  • Understands the role of the IFRS Foundation and ISSB and demonstrates a commitment to the mission of IFRS Foundation.
