Events Intern
Reports to: Event Manager, Communications
Based: London, Hybrid
Status: 3-month fixed term contract, 35 hours per week
Remuneration: The salary for this role is £12.21 per hour, in accordance with the National Minimum Wage for those aged 21 and over.

Job purpose
We are seeking a talented events intern to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our key events, including the World Standard Setters Conference and the IFRS Sustainability Symposium 2025, as well as assisting with IASB speaker requests.
This internship offers an invaluable entry into in event management and communications in a professional services environment. You'll work closely with and learn from two experienced event managers, contributing to all stages of event planning and execution.
Key responsibilities:
- Event planning & execution support: Assist events team with day-to-day operations and various aspects of event planning.
- Registration management: Support event registration tracking, updates, and assist with managing enquiries from attendees.
- IASB speaker coordination: Assist with speaker outreach to collect bios, materials, and other necessary information.
- Communication & enquiry handling: Answer enquiries about our events from attendees and vendors.
- Logistical support: Help coordinate event logistics and process invoices.
- On-site event support: Provide crucial on-site support during events, including set-up, registration, and general assistance.
- Administrative tasks: Assist with diary management, scheduling, and other administrative duties as assigned.
- Creative input & evaluation: Contribute to client communications, offer creative input for event enhancements, and assist with post-event evaluations.

Please note: Applicants should be available for a three-month full-time work period. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, legally eligible to work in the UK, and able to commute regularly to Canary Wharf. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
