Talent Acquisition Specialist
Status: 12month FTC
Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager
Job Purpose: Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the successful candidate will support the wider operational business with the direct sourcing and selection of talent across the Foundation, with a specific focus on vacancies across Operations, IASB and ISSB technical roles within our locations.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work closely with senior stakeholders and hiring managers to understand and manage varied hiring projects' current and future hiring needs. You will be required to provide advice, insight and project management support where appropriate. At the IFRS Foundation, you will assist in the full-cycle candidacy selection process. Your primary focus will be identifying and sourcing professionals who will join our growing Foundation and continue its work to further develop global accounting and sustainability standards.
Drive the end-to-end recruitment cycle of a range of vacancies attracting and retaining the best talent and being an ambassador for the IFRS Foundation delivering an exceptional hiring and candidate experience.
The team: Working within the Talent Acquisition team in strong collaboration with all members of the People / HR function.
Principle accountabilities:
- Ensure a complete understanding of open positions' responsibilities and requirements. Set talent acquisition service, collaborate with hiring managers and provide support in the development of job descriptions.
- Be responsible for providing strategic recruiting recommendations, to hiring managers and senior management, including but not limited to direct advertising, sourcing strategies, internal talent identification and agency management.
- Work within the approval processes and demonstrate a sense of urgency in efficiently handling all open positions.
- Manage direct applications and source candidates across jurisdictions, develop internal and external talent pools, and employ various recruitment techniques to engage both active and passive job seekers.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptability when working with diverse teams across multiple time zones, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in a global environment.
- Assess and screen applications, present well-suited shortlists to hiring managers, provide interview preparation and support, and participate in interview panels when necessary. Collate feedback, review candidate information and offer package information to hiring managers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Greenhouse, ensuring optimal utilisation and functionality across the organisation.
- Compile and present market data on hiring trends and compensation to contribute to informed decision-making.
- Influence discussions on recruitment best practices and enhance the overall candidate experience.
- Ensure adherence to agreed-upon timeframes and processes, maintaining data integrity, and upholding high standards within the team.
- Proactively escalates issues and concerns to ensure timely resolution or redirection.
- Work on wider talent acquisition and hr projects and other tasks as needed, for e.g. employer brand and storytelling, early career programmes, diverse and inclusive recruiting.
- Represent the IFRS Foundation at various recruitment events.
- Contribute ideas to process improvements throughout the end-to-end recruitment process.
- Track talent acquisition metrics, providing weekly updates and monthly reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in accountancy, sustainability or technical talent sourcing, screening and applicant management
- Proficiency with ATS Platforms: Demonstrated experience in using and managing Applicant Tracking Systems, particularly Greenhouse or similar platforms.
- Stakeholder management and engagement in a dynamic, high touch and international environment.
- Possesses a proactive "can-do" attitude and adeptness in collaborating with hiring managers.
- Proven track record of delivering an exemplary candidate experience.
- Able to develop, design and implement diversity initiatives.
- Proficient in implementing and managing recruitment-related data, reporting systems, and direct sourcing tools.
- Established expertise in automating and enhancing various facets of the recruitment process.
- Comprehensive understanding of recruitment-related labour law, compliance, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
