About the IFRS Foundation
The IFRS Foundation is responsible for developing and maintaining global financial reporting standards through the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). The Contributed Revenue Team (CRT) plays a crucial role in securing funding for the Foundation, ensuring financial sustainability and the expansion of its standards.
The CRT is responsible for six revenue streams: IASB Jurisdictional Revenue, ISSB Jurisdictional Revenue, ISSB Seed Funding, Philanthropic Contributions, Corporate Champions and the Accounting Profession. Our work is high-volume and fast-paced. Role Summary
The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for managing and growing key donor relationships, with a primary focus on Corporate Champions and Philanthropy fundraising. This role will support meeting IFRS Foundation’s annual revenue goals and ensure the successful transition of new donor programs to a sustainable, long-term model.
Additionally, this position will have a secondary focus on jurisdictional fundraising, helping to engage public and private sector contributors to support ISSB and IASB funding priorities for the long-term. The role requires strong relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination to enhance fundraising efforts across all six CRT revenue workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Relationship Management (Corporate Champions & Philanthropy)
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for Corporate Champions and key philanthropic donors including development finance agencies.
- Ensure seamless donor engagement, stewardship, and retention, including renewals, reporting, and impact communication.
- Develop donor engagement plans, ensuring Corporate Champions contribute strategically to ISSB objectives, including events and roundtables.
- Support fundraising efforts across jurisdictional funding, membership programs, and philanthropy.
- Work with Trustees, Regional Directors, and leadership to identify and cultivate new donors.
Fundraising Strategy & Execution (Corporate Champions & Philanthropy)
- Lead the development of funding proposals, grant applications, and donor reports in collaboration with the fundraising team.
- Identify new corporate, philanthropic, and in-kind funding opportunities.
- Monitor fundraising KPIs and develop reporting frameworks to track donor engagement and financial performance.
- Maintain timely and accurate records in organisational systems including Salesforce.
Jurisdictional Fundraising & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Support the IASB and ISSB jurisdictional funding efforts by engaging with funders across the public and private sectors.
- Coordinate with finance, ISSB, and IASB to ensure funding is appropriately tracked and allocated.
- Serve as a key liaison between the Contributed Revenue Team (CRT) and external donors, ensuring clear communication and donor stewardship.
- Partner with the Finance Team to ensure compliance, due diligence, and accurate reporting.
Event Planning & Donor Engagement
- Lead the planning and execution of donor engagement events, including Corporate Champions roundtables, ISSB-hosted workshops, and funding-related networking opportunities.
- Develop tailored stewardship plans for key funders, ensuring they remain engaged in IFRS's mission.
- Coordinate with the market engagement team to leverage IFRS's visibility at industry events.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5+ years of experience in external relationship management, ideally in a sales, non-profit, international organization, or sustainability-focused role.
- Strong background in corporate partnerships, membership programs, and philanthropic fundraising.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling donor proposals, reports, and presentations.
- Experience in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) for donor tracking and engagement.
- Strong project management and event planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams, engaging with trustees, funders, and senior leadership.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, sustainability, or regulatory frameworks is a plus.
- Experience working in a global, multi-stakeholder environment with a strong understanding of corporate donor engagement.
