This position is based in Berlin or in Munich, Germany.

 

Key Responsibilities

Role summary We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to own delivery, quality and reliability for platform products. You will manage the backlog for front‑end and back‑end engineering teams, drive Scrum execution, and ensure releases are stable, well‑documented and meet clear acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done. You will work within a Platform Delivery Product Team and collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, SRE/DevOps, Architecture, UX and Product & Technology leadership. You will also act as the internal interface to Solution Architects and Customer Success to coordinate rollouts and incident resolution.

  • Own backlog prioritization, translating stakeholder requirements into epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria, DoR and DoD.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives; manage dependencies and drive predictable delivery.
  • Produce concise functional specs and collaborate with QA on test plans; accept increments against ACs and DoD.
  • Define and coordinate releases, using feature flags, canary deployments and rollback strategies to safeguard production.
  • Lead incident triage and post‑incident reviews; capture root causes and drive corrective/preventive actions into the backlog.
  • Collaborate with UX to ensure optimal user experiences and own the product experience vision for your area.
  • Define and monitor delivery, reliability and product KPIs; use data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Use GenAI-enabled tooling to accelerate PO workflows while ensuring human oversight and compliance.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Design or equivalent.
  • 5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager acting as PO in Agile/Scrum with front‑ and back‑end teams.
  • Strong track record of predictable delivery, incident management and technical fluency (APIs, performance, reliability).
  • Proficiency with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and practical experience using GenAI responsibly.
