Job Summary:

Supporting Affinity Care, this Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new revenue and expanding client accounts within the UK primary care and integrated urgent care market.

The role owns client acquisition and early-stage account growth. Identify, engage, and convert new clients into active revenue-generating accounts. Ensure all commercial commitments are aligned to delivery capability and can be fulfilled without degradation in quality or compliance. Success is measured by revenue generated, new client wins, pipeline strength, and account expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and secure new clients within primary care and integrated urgent care. Drive outbound activity, qualify opportunities, and convert prospects into signed agreements.
  • Account Growth and Revenue Expansion: Develop existing client relationships to increase revenue through repeat placements, service expansion, and deeper account penetration.
  • Sales Execution and Pipeline Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to deal closure. Maintain a structured, accurate, and prioritized pipeline.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders. Establish credibility through consistency and delivery alignment.
  • Commercial Alignment with Delivery: Ensure all client requirements are clearly defined, commercially viable, and aligned with recruitment delivery capability. Maintain close coordination with delivery teams.
  • Market Intelligence and Positioning: Maintain awareness of market conditions, competitor activity, and client demand. Use insight to inform targeting and improve positioning.
  • Commercial Discipline and Compliance: Operate within agreed commercial frameworks, ensuring accuracy in contracts, pricing, and client commitments. Maintain compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales roles, preferably within the recruitment/healthcare recruitment industry.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in relation to nursing staffing and interim contracts, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven track record of meeting and or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with clients.
  • Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities.
