Group Senior Accountant

Position - Group – Senior Accountant
This position reports to the Group Financial Controller. The position will be responsible for the accounts of several of the entities that the Group team manages.  They will also assist with the preparation of the Group consolidated accounts, corporate governance, and tax compliance, and will be hands-on with reconciliations and support the team as needed.  
The Group senior accountant will work closely with our international finance teams and the Group’s senior management. ICG Global has operations in APAC, UK, India, North America, South Africa and is growing at a fast pace.

As our Group senior accountant, you’ll be expected to support the CFO on any group finance/accounting-related matters.
Areas of responsibility: -
    Financial reporting
    To take responsibility for the accounts for Global Capability Kenya, ICG Medical Philippines, Greenstaff Consultancy FZCO and work with Group Financial Controller to ensure these entities are supported and have financial probity.  

This will involve:-
o  Preparing the monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, working with local advisors to ensure a smooth process and relevant taxes are prepared submitted on time.
o  Working with a Senior account executive in India to ensure transactions are recorded correctly and providing them with direction.
o  To review financial controls and compliance requirements
o To prepare statutory accounts for audit by local audit firms
 To prepare the statutory accounts for the branch Clinical 24 ROI

    Group consolidated Management accounts
    To work with the Group team, in particular, Group financial controller and Group FP&A analyst to facilitate timely submissions and review of the monthly Group management accounts.

    Corporate Governance
    To maintain directors register, Group corporate structure, insurance and invoice discount facility details and any other schedule which will support robust corporate governance.
    To prepare corporate tax payments on accounts and ensure any payments are met on time.
    To maintain Companies House details and work with Group Reporting, tax and treasury director on any entity updates
    To liaise with HMRC on any tax matters and maintain schedule of HMRC business accounts

    Group accounts audit 
    To work with the Group Financial Controller to ensure a smooth and speedy annual audit for the ICG Medical and ICG Group Consolidated accounts.  Including, supporting schedule co-ordination/collation/production and drafting/reviewing of Annual Reports for UK entities (trading and non-trading).  Review/assist in Balance Sheet account reconciliations, as required.

    Projects and Systems
    Support and lead ad hoc projects (particular business process improvement projects) requested by Global Reporting, Tax and Treasury Manager, CFO and senior management team

Qualifications
Qualified accountant: ACCA / CIMA/ CA with 5+ years post-qualified experience
