Product Marketing Manager (Software)

Wallingford, UK

At HR Wallingford, we design smart, resilient solutions across the natural and built environments to help everyone live and work more sustainably with water. By harnessing research, data insights and the power of our collective expertise, we help the world to better understand the changing influence and impact of water.

Our newly created Software Solutions Division is responsible for developing, productising, and taking to market a broad range of software products.  The Product Marketing Manager will be embedded within the Software Solutions Division while reporting into the Marketing and Communications team to ensure continued professional development and alignment with the broader HR Wallingford brand.

This is an important role in the evolution of the Software Solutions Division and will head the development and implementation of best-practice product marketing plans, guiding generation campaigns and managing product launches to accelerate market adoption and sales growth.

This individual contributor role requires candidates to be able to work independently with a strong commercial focus and experience in software product marketing.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive product marketing strategy, including product launches, market research and  sales enablement. You will develop and implement communication strategies, including writing compelling content, managing digital campaigns, social media, and website content. Building customer engagement, managing the marketing budget, and reporting on marketing activity performance will also be important parts of the role.

About you

You will have proven experience in product marketing within a digital data or software-focused organisation, with a strong understanding of best-practice methodologies for software products. Skilled in market and competitor  research and  customer insights, and launching new products, you can develop effective lead generation campaigns and deliver marketing assets for internal teams and external partners.

You bring strong organisational skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to foster collaboration while demonstrating leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is essential, with extensive experience in product marketing, typically 5–10 years.

Professional certifications and experience in the water or environmental sector are desirable. The role requires flexibility to travel in the UK and overseas.

We value diverse perspectives and welcome candidates who bring curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to continuous learning.

This role needs to be within a good commutable distance to our offices in Wallingford, Oxfordshire as it requires regular presence at our Wallingford office. We support flexible working arrangements to help you balance professional and personal commitments.
