Graduate Project Engineer or Scientist

Due to our continued success, we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Project Engineer or Scientist to join our Ships and Dredging Group based in Wallingford, South Oxfordshire, to help deliver our growing ship related work.
Initially you will be participating in ship navigation simulation studies often using our state-of-the-art ship and tug simulators. As you develop in the role, it will be expanded to include other navigation and ship mooring studies, that may use some of our extensive numerical models or may involve physical modelling.
Key qualifications and skills
- A good engineering degree or scientific degree in a relevant subject
- Strong interest in the research and development of ship related topics
- Experience of ship navigation, ship mooring and/or port operations/logistics with would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be given
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- A proactive approach
- The ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- Data analysis experience and coding skills (Matlab, Python, .net) would be beneficial
- Ability to take the initiative, find solutions and proactively drive progress
- High level of professional pride and attention to detail.

- Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience
