About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in the EMEA region. You will prepare and review financial documents, oversee accounting procedures, and provide financial advice on budgeting and cash flow management, supporting the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
  • Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Prepare and review adjusting journal entries with support.
  • Manage and review work done by outsourced accounting firms. Maintain these relationships and provide required data to them timely.
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
  • Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
  • Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
  • Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
  • Manages the purchasing and invoicing system.
  • Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
  • At least 2 years of related experience required.
  • Strong aptitude for math.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Expert proficiency in excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Broad knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
  • The ability to be communicative and comfortable talking on the phone, via email, or face-to-face.
  • You often described as someone who has high energy and your colleagues love this about you!
  • Success-driven, with a positive can-do attitude and combining commitment with self-initiative.
