Senior Group Accountant

The Position

• Own the preparation of consolidated financial statements under HGB (§290 ff.), including capital, debt and intercompany eliminations across all group entities.
• Oversee and coordinate month-, quarter- and year-end closings across international subsidiaries (FR, IT, ES, UK, NL), ensuring robust and consistent HGB-compliant
  accounting.
• Serve as the key contact for external auditors (PwC) and international tax advisors, overseeing VAT compliance, statutory filings and transfer pricing support (Master File / Local File).
• Take ownership of intercompany accounting, including transaction flows, reconciliations and discrepancy resolution across the group.
• Drive the development of LucaNet and DATEV, safeguarding data integrity, strengthening reporting structures and enhancing consolidation logic.
• Shape process automation and digital transformation initiatives within accounting, optimizing systems and evaluating AI-driven workflows to build a scalable group accounting setup.
• Prepare management-level reporting and contribute to multi-year planning while continuously evolving group accounting policies and internal controls.

Your Profile

• Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or an equivalent professional qualification, such as ACCA or CPA, is a strong advantage.
• 3+ years of experience in group accounting, consolidation or external audit (Big 4 or mid-tier background strongly preferred).
• Strong hands-on HGB knowledge, including consolidation under §290 ff. HGB.
• Experience with LucaNet (or similar consolidation software) and solid working knowledge of DATEV; exposure to EU VAT topics (MOSS/OSS) is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage external auditors and international tax advisors in a multi-entity environment.
• Structured, detail-oriented and proactive communicator with fluent English (German is a strong plus) and an interest in automation and AI-driven finance processes.
