Quality Assurance Lead

Quality Assurance Lead 

One of Helmes’ software development teams is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to help elevate our quality practices. In this role, you’ll shape testing strategy, improve processes, support other QA engineers, and stay hands-on in daily QA work. You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, and project management to ensure high-quality delivery and a clear, effective QA approach.

Your contribution to the team: 

• Evolve QA strategy, processes, and standards across product teams
• Mentor and guide QA engineers, supporting their growth and day-to-day testing challenges
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Ensure shared understanding of requirements and quality standards across QA, engineering, analysis, and project management
• Provide leadership with updates on QA performance and improvement areas
• Define and track quality KPIs and use insights to drive enhancements
• Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with release cycles
• Contribute to manual and automated testing across web and mobile systems
• Create and maintain test plans, traceability matrices, and quality benchmarks 

We’d like to hear from you if you have:  

• 5+ years of experience in software QA with strong hands-on testing skills
• Experience shaping or improving QA processes, strategy, or frameworks
• Previous experience mentoring and guiding other QA engineers 
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills 
• Proven experience in establishing or maturing QA processes 
• Deep understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and approaches 
• Strong analytical skills in defect tracking, root-cause analysis, and risk assessment
• Fluent Estonian
