The Opportunity

As the Lead Content Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how users experience our products through clear, accessible, and meaningful content. You’ll champion content design across multiple brands and markets, developing scalable systems, tools, and workflows that elevate the craft and impact of UX writing. Working at the intersection of product, design, research, and engineering, you’ll collaborate on intuitive solutions that meet user needs and business goals. If you're passionate about designing with words, building strong content practices, and advocating for users across diverse teams, this role offers the opportunity to drive real change and create content that truly matters.

 

What you'll do

  • Progress scalable content design and UX writing guides to be used across multiple brands, products and geographies (we operate in USA and UK currently)
  • Build strong and influential relationships with stakeholders, advocating the value of content design, and presenting ideas
  • Actively grow the content design practice, embedding content design into ways of working
  • Support the implementation of a new content management system
  • Managing the content design workflow alongside other content designers
  • Plan and support research activities such as user interviews, comprehension testing, data and insight gathering, and competitor analysis.
  • Apply insights into user behaviour and mental models together with content design best practices to create effective content for complex health tech products.

 

What you'll bring to HeliosX

  • 5+ years of experience in content design, ideally in healthcare or a related field.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a broad range of experience from large content strategy pieces to writing impactful UX copy.
  • Experience creating accessible content that adheres to NHS or GOV.UK style guides.
  • Experience in product discovery, such as conducting user research, understanding customer needs and boiling these down to actionable content requirements.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience working with Figma, Miro, or similar tools.
