Our infrastructure team is seeking a Broadcast Network Engineer - a role ideal for someone with live broadcast events experience, who is flexible, organised, and thrives in fast-paced international environments. The Engineer will contribute to the design, configuration, monitoring, and support of complex broadcast network infrastructures across multiple projects worldwide.
📌 About the Role
- Design, configure, and support network infrastructure for major events (on-site and remotely)
- Document monitoring architecture, setup procedures, and network designs (NetBox)
- Configure Layer 3 networks with multicast routing (IGMP/PIM) and VXLAN
- Deploy and configure network monitoring solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, InfluxDB, etc.)
- Integrate data from routers, switches, firewalls, and access points (SNMP, NetFlow, other protocols)
- Build Grafana dashboards for real-time monitoring and alerting
- Identify and troubleshoot network performance issues using collected metrics
- Collaborate with engineering colleagues and stakeholders across international locations
Technologies You’ll Work With
- Protocols: BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, IGMP, PIM, DNS, DHCP, PTP
- Topologies: Spine/Leaf, Hierarchical (Core/Distribution/Access, Collapsed Core)
- Hardware: Cisco Nexus 9K, Cisco Catalyst, Arista
- Virtualisation: Proxmox, Docker, Kubernetes
- Firewalls: PFsense
🛫 What makes a successful candidate?
- Broadcast experience is essential
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routing, switching, multicast, PTP)
- Interest in open-source monitoring tools and data visualisation
- Familiarity with Linux and basic scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Ansible, Git, Yang data model, YAML)
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive – able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work well under pressure
- Strong communicator, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders (internal teams, suppliers, on-site operational staff)
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Networking, IT Infrastructure, or Systems & Networks (Bac+2 / Bac+3 or equivalent)
