This posting is for hourly paid logistics employees to apply through.
About Us
We are Ocado Technology and we empower global grocery retailers with cutting-edge cloud, robotics, AI, and IoT. Our Ocado Smart Platform (OSP) powers highly automated Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs), enabling efficient, single-pick online grocery delivery
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun and knowledgeable E3/E4 engineer to join our team on a secondment for six months from September 2025.
We are the Replenishment Management team in OSP Supply Chain. Supply Chain is responsible for making sure that we have just enough stock in our warehouses to satisfy customer demand without having to throw too much stock away. In Replenishment Management we allow demand planners to be able to order that stock into the warehouses. Our primary mission is to produce tooling for management of Purchase Orders and Suppliers.
The team has been busy over the last 12 months maturing the domain to support migration for ORL and Morrisons. We are currently now looking to improve the accuracy of what is coming into the warehouse and when, to help reduce shorts and increase availability. We are a fun, friendly and hardworking team, currently made up of five very supportive engineers, EM-2. We currently have 2 E4s, 2 E3s, and 1 E1 with another E1 about to join. As one of the E4s will be away for a period, we are offering an opportunity for another senior engineer to discover more about us and our work and help us keep producing great software and product.
About you
- Experience working with Java (ideally Java 8+)
- Experience with the Supply Chain UI -> not required but may be useful as we are taking on the Supply Chain UI pages in our domain
- Can make a positive impact on the open, supportive, and creative culture of the team.
