About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Operator to support our Engineering Operations team on the Bagging Machines’ operation at our Luton Customer Fulfilment Centre, you will be responsible for maximising equipment efficiency and to keeping technical areas of the operation clean and tidy as directed by the Management Team.
You will work a shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12 hour shifts across days, nights and weekends.
What you will be doing
As a Technical Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient bagging operations by:
- Managing the performance of bagging systems, including switching delivery tote directions and clearing conveyor jams.
- Loading new bag stock into machines and monitoring quality.
- Troubleshooting and resolving basic machine faults.
- Assisting engineers with maintenance and repair tasks.
You will also need to support the On Grid Robotic Pick operating system.
- Ensuring high availability of robotic arms and end effectors.
- Cleaning, repairing, and reassembling offline end effector units.
- Performing scheduled preventive maintenance and housekeeping around robotic systems.
About you

- A Great Communicator: Able to produce clear and concise reports.
- Self-Motivated: Reliable, consistent, and able to work at pace.
- Experience within an Engineering Service Support role in an automated production environment would be advantageous
