About Us

Our teams are putting the world’s retailers online using the cloud, robotics, AI, and IoT. About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Finance Business Partner to join our team on a perm basis, with the opportunity to make a real impact on our business performance. 

In this role, you will work closely with key business stakeholders, providing insights and analysis to support strategic product decisions, as well as contributing to the development of budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.

You will collaborate with business partners and accountable budget holders within Product to support the achievement of their objectives within budget.

Accountabilities

  • Partner with business teams to provide financial insights and decision-making support to achieve business plans and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Transformation, Data, and Systems teams to develop and deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting using both financial and non-financial data.
  • Take responsibility for the financial management of the budget across Product Tech R&D.
  • Prepare and deliver ROI calculations for key Technology products to evaluate investment opportunities.
  • Support the business in preparing CEGs (capital expenditure group papers) and business cases for new initiatives.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial requests to support the Finance Manager, including ROI analysis, capital expenditure group papers (CEGs), and reporting
  • Identify, monitor, and assist in the delivery of KPIs across business areas, helping to drive performance improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and prioritisation of the product roadmap for the business, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, including identifying risks and opportunities to meet financial and operational targets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of operational drivers to provide actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Support business case development, commercial contracts, project delivery, and reviews by providing robust financial data to drive success.
  • Deliver management information, insights, and ad hoc analysis to track performance, control costs, and inform decision-making, ensuring timely, relevant, and insightful reports.
  • Support investment appraisals and partner with the project controlling team to manage the financial aspects of projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring strong Capex and Opex planning.
  • Prepare post-investment appraisals for key projects, offering feedback on performance and areas for improvement in future initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with financial standards and controls, applying the right processes across business areas to maintain integrity and accountability.
  • Identify and implement improvements in business processes and financial controls to enhance efficiency and ensure accurate cost recording in the financial systems.

About you

  • Fully (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) qualified and good knowledge of finance processes
  • Experience in a fast paced global environment and commercial acumen
  • Strategic and analytical thinking
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities actively managing stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to constructively challenge ways of working fostering improvements to drive efficiency
