About the Role

Working in the Ocado Technology Delivery team you will  play a pivotal role in the successful deployment of our cutting-edge automated fulfillment centres and the rollout of new automation technologies worldwide. 

As the Global Delivery Resourcing and Development Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight of project resourcing, ensuring we have the right talent in the right place. You will lead the identification, allocation, and development of skilled professionals across project management, installation management, project engineering, IT infrastructure, and commissioning.

This key role requires close collaboration with the Delivery Leadership Team and the cultivation of strong relationships with all people working in Delivery.

  • Strategic Resource Planning: Develop and implement effective resource planning strategies to optimise project staffing across our global portfolio.
  • Talent Pool Management: Oversee the identification, assessment, and management of a skilled talent pool for capabilities such as project management, installation management, project engineering, IT infrastructure, and commissioning.
  • Workforce Allocation: Ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources to projects, considering individual skills, experience, development needs and project requirements.
  • Career Development & Learning: Design and implement career development paths and ongoing learning initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the delivery team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with project and programme leaders  to understand resourcing needs and provide strategic guidance.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong working relationships with all members of the delivery team to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse resource utilsation and identify opportunities for improvement in resourcing processes.

About you

  • Strong understanding of project management and resourcing requirements.
  • Able to maintain a clear and organised resourcing plan
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and requirements, thinking both strategically and tactically when required
  • Experience in developing career paths, training plans and competency frameworks.
